Skills London

Skills London is the capital's biggest jobs and careers event for young people aged 15 to 24. The annual event attracts more than 30,000 people across a two day period.

It aims to inspire London’s young people by showcasing opportunities available within the Capital including apprenticeships, education, training, employment and internships.

London Councils has been a corporate sponsor of Skills London since 2012, championing the Careers & Enterprise Hub and organising a stand with local authority colleagues and apprentice volunteers who speak with visitors about their own experiences and the value and benefits of working within a local authority.

We have developed an interactive apprenticeship map so that young people are able to access both apprenticeships and other opportunities within their local area quickly.

For those who aren't yet sure on what apprenticeship route to take we have created an interactive ‘Pathway' game that responds to an individual's work related preferences and identifies apprenticeships they might consider.

We have also produced a video ‘London Council Apprenticeships’ featuring current apprentices working in London's councils.

Skills London 2017 is taking place on the 24 & 25 November at the ExCeL London
