Ninth Interreg North-West Europe call opens

  • By Héloïse Thibault

The ninth Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) call for proposal has just opened and will close on 14 June 2019.

The Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) Programme is a transnational European Territorial Cooperation Programme funded by the European Union. The programme promotes the economic, environmental, social and territorial future of the NWE area. The programme has identified three thematic priorities: innovation, low carbon and resource and material efficiency. The three priorities cover a range of policy areas, including transport and mobility, renewable energy, climate change and resource efficiency.

Priorities 1 and 3 of the Interreg NWE Programme are targeted in this call. Within priority 1, ‘Innovation’, Interreg NWE is looking for projects that are of relevance to transport as they would deal with: ‘innovative products, processes and technologies contributing to CO2 reduction and the green economy, including green transport, in line with the big societal challenges addressed by the Paris Agreement’.
