It’s evident now more than ever local authorities need to make well informed decisions, based on timely, reliable and accurate data. This partnership will therefore allow councils to identify the individuals and households most vulnerable to both the health, social and economic impacts of COVID-19.
Government data identifies individuals deemed to be ‘at risk’ but has been limited to those with high clinical need. This is specifically important during Covid-19 as it allows for identification to those residents most at risk of being directly affected, for example, elderly or exiting health issues and residents indirectly affected due to isolation and social distancing restrictions, for example, history of domestic violence.
Partnerships like this do not only enable better group working and collaboration, but also showcase how useful data can be within the public sector.
