Best practice on local environment quality enforcement in London

'Enviro-crime busters' is a collection of case studies, produced in 2011, showcases some of the innovative work in London boroughs tackling nuisance behaviour such as littering, abandoned vehicles and dumped rubbish. Many of the case studies show how boroughs have involved local communities and are responding to local concerns and priorities.

An overriding theme of these case studies is the benefit of multi-agency and partnership working. A second common theme is the importance of engagement and consultation with residents, business and partners. These case studies provide examples of how nuisance behaviours can be effectively targeted with few additional resources and demonstrating the savings achieved.
