On Tuesday 17 September 2019, LEPT held a forum for borough officers at the London Councils offices. Delegates from boroughs across London and sub-regional partnerships attended the event to find out about funding opportunities, best practice and replication opportunities.

Samantha Tharme, Strategic Transportation Officer at the City of London Corporation, presented the recently launched ReVeAL (Regulating Vehicle Access for improved Liveability) project. The City is working in partnership with five other authorities across the EU, Transport for London and other partners to improve knowledge on urban vehicle access regulation and create healthier living spaces.

CIVITAS SUNRISE, another Horizon 2020 project, was also introduced to participants. Focusing on mobility planning at the neighbourhood level, the project also offers plenty of resources for urban stakeholders, such as an online course.

Ivo Cré, from the European network of cities and regions Polis, was present and gave insights into the current round of funding opportunities: Horizon 2020 ‘Smart Green and Integrated Transport’ calls as well as Urban Innovative Actions. He also took this chance to tell participants about several opportunities to join working groups, replication city programmes and follower cities groups.

The event was followed by a discussion with the speakers and the LEPT team.
