This programme has been developed to help identify and train future senior local government officers in London. Local government professionals in London are at the forefront of many progressive initiatives but these tend to be dispersed and unconnected.
The London Leadership Programme focuses on helping senior officers wishing to advance their careers to gain a greater understanding of what it takes to be a chief officer or a chief executive, and help develop the personal skills and resilience in order to take on these challenges.
- A more capable and confident cohort of senior leadership in London, with broader capabilities for the professional leadership of London’s localities in order to improve public service outcomes
- Improved diversity amongst individuals in senior roles
- More systematic talent management including succession planning.
We are now open to nominations for Cohorts 3 and 4 which will take place between May 2019 and June 2020
